Quantock Builders was founded by Robert "Bob" Dennehy, a craftsman passionate about restoring traditional and period properties. Operating close to home in Cothelstone, Bob made it a rule to take on projects within a five-mile radius, focusing on areas like West Bagborough and Kingston St Mary.
1988Throughout the 1990s, Quantock Builders earned a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous organisation. This growth led the company to manage projects as principal contractors, ranging from small renovations to full-scale church restorations.

1995As the company celebrated its 10th anniversary, it underwent a rebranding, adopting a new logo and marketing approach. With a team of over 12 employees and numerous subcontractors, Quantock Builders began managing multiple projects simultaneously. Bob transitioned into the roles of surveyor and project manager, focusing on delivering quality and innovation. One highlight was the creation of a heritage joinery team to produce bespoke work for conservation projects, showcasing Bob’s ambition and dedication to excellence.
